I was invited to participate in Nobrow #8 Hysteria issue (BUY IT HERE) whilst I was in Vietnam in Feb this year. The colours are so fitting with vietnam as the nature was acid green and the rest was communist red. The first idea that I indended to illustrate was a giant woman washed up on the beach near Hoi An, her long hair catching everything from the south china sea (soggy fortune cookies, lolly wrappers, seaweed, shells). But it wasnt working so I got rid of everything and was just left with a giant woman surrounded by little people in the same vein of Gulliver’s Travels. I might go back to that initial idea and try and make it work someday…

If you are in Berlin next week Pictoplasma is on! If you don’t have a ticket there are many free exhibitions on at the same time. Two artists who I LOVE (Andrea Wan and Rilla Alexander) are exhibiting on the character walk. I’m also looking forward to checking out Olimpia Zagnoli and Alex aka Billy’s work too. SO MUCH GOODNESS. so come check out then buy all their work cause it will sell like hot cakes!

Thanks to all those who made 2012 such an awesome year of drawing and making stuff.

I have created a martian inspired postcard for the Sydney Story Factory Xmas exhibition. A3 posters will be exhibited along with postcards that will hopefully inspire the kids to write a letter to their martian friend.
